Very sad to report we took family from Hilton Head in boat ride to Savannah. Many many stores and restaurants closed. It was like a ghost town. For many years we have done this tour. Makes me want to cry.

This was a great and inexpensive way to travel to Savannah from Hilton Head. We enjoyed being on the water and learning more about the area. We sat on the top level (outdoors) on the way there and on the mail level (indoors) on the way back. I recommend sitting on the top level since you can hear the motor(?) on the main floor which is very loud. You should have your choice of seating if you arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. If you’re considering taking a day trip to Savannah, this is definitely the way to go!

The boat ride was nice and comfortable. The only drawback I see is that you only have 4 hours ashore which isn’t near enough time.
