We have been to Hilton Head many times and have always brought different friends with us for the trip. We make it a point to take them to Savannah to show them how beautiful it is. This was the first time we have gone by boat however and we really enjoyed it. The cruise was relaxing and we met many different individuals from all over the US and Canada on board. It also did not hurt that we had a bright sunny day for our trip. The crew on board were very friendly and always had the time to talk and entertain. The trip took approximately 1:30-1:45 each way and you had 4 hours in Savannah to tour around. For my wife and I, having been there on numerous occasions it was more than enough time. For our friends, as first time visitors, they also felt they had enough time. I can also see that the 4 hours might not be enough time for some who really want to explore and enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes, and culture of old Savannah. All in all a very pleasant experience.

When we vacation we always like to take in a little of the history of the area. The traffic in Savannah is chaotic to say the least. The Hilton Head to Savannah cruise gives us the best of both worlds. A relaxing boat ride across the intra-coastal waterway to the Savannah river keeps my blood pressure in check. Parts of the movie Forrest Gump were filmed there and our captain pointed out those spots. There are a number of tours in Savannah where you can take in the city without having to drive yourself. This was our second time on the cruise and when we return we'll definitely take it again.

Crew was nice, however, it was very difficult to hear the captain on the public address system. Boat was a bit crowded.
