Before signing up, I was skeptical. I am not young and I can barely balance, let alone ride a skateboard. I am SO glad we took the chance and participated in this outing on electric skateboards. It was amazing! All of us loved itā€”from age 65 to 11. First of all, riding an electric skateboard is very different than a regular one and immense fun! Our guide, Hugh, was encouraging, patient, knowledgeable, thoughtful and generous (more on that later). The historic tour was fascinating, even for my teen who is downright disinterested in history. Our friends who live on Amelia Island also learned new information, despite having lived here for years. Hugh made the outing even more memorable by surprising us with several ā€œextras.ā€ I wonā€™t spoil these by writing about them, but please understand that the price is definitely worth it!! Highly recommend, especially to families visiting or living here. This would also make a great date or corporate outing. Go make some lifetime memories!!

This was a really fun way to see Amelia Island. The skateboards were easy to learn and really fun once we got going. You really feel part of the scene when you're riding around. Our guide, Hugh, was helpful and a lot of fun. He taught us to ride, played music, and stopped and talked about local sites. He also watched out for us in traffic and street crossings. This was one of the best events on our whole drive from Toronto to Florida.

We found this on trip advisor, I didnā€™t book in advance just in case something came up. I went online to book as soon as we got there but there were no openings. I emailed the company and he replied right away, it was 10pm! He gave me a 3 hr window to choose from and accommodated us for the ride. My 10 year old loved it, Hugh was so great with teaching us how to ride and very informative on the history of the island. He had a go pro and took awesome shots and videos! I highly recommend this excursion! Donā€™t forget your tennis shoes and sunscreen!
