This tour is a great way to experience Marco Island. Todd is extremely knowledgeable about the community, history, landscape, and environment of the area. Along the tour route you can spot a large variety of wildlife, including owls, gophers, turtles, manatees, and various birds. You visit a captivating butterfly sanctuary nestled in a shell garden that once was home to an Indian tribe. You pass by magnificent estates that are home to celebrities and high profile individuals. And you stop at the site of a former pineapple plantation to learn about the original landowner. Todd is also excellent at educating you on the various trees and shrubs that are specific to Marco island, The orchids and birds of paradise along the route are breathtaking. Plus, you might be gifted with free mangos as you pass by a local resident who leaves a basket of his own fruit at the road for you. With great conversation, beautiful scenery, and fun for the whole family, this tour is one you donā€™t want to miss!
