What To Expect

Adams Museum

The tour stops outside of the Adams museum and you'll learn the history of how it came to be and it's founder. It's one of the best museums in town, and it's free, with a suggested donation.

Adams House

We will stop outside the Adams house and hear about the founder of the Franklin hotel, and see the "most beautiful house this side the Mississippi".

Mount Moriah Cemetery

The final resting place of many a wild west outlaw including Wild Bill, Calamity Jane, Seth Bullock and many more. You'll hear their story, learn about Jane, and if you want you'll have the option to enter the Cemetery and see their graves.

This self guided tour was well done and provided a great introduction into Deadwood, it’s history and colorful past. The tour was easy to navigate, and I was able to play it on my iPhone, and share the audio via AirPlay with my wife while we did the tour. Highly recommended - a great value for the money.

Lots of good info provided during the tour. Was a good way to experience Deadwood at my own pace… The app is easy to use, though they do recommend using earbuds… Good advice as a Deadwood can be quite loud during the day with lots of tourists, cars and motorcycles driving through town. This tour involves a walk to the cemetery… It was a very hot day when I went and I wasn’t going to walk the steep hill. The app does have a feature where you can take a tour virtually, and then drive up to the cemetery later at your leisure.

Not good at all!!! Could NOT use it!!! Had to download Viator and before being able to do anything, had to use WhatsApp, then was told to call a number, then the person sent me a text to download another app, WalknTours, then, register and follow instructions on the app, download it!!! Well, it was downloading and downloading, and downloading!!! After 1-1/2 hours, it was still telling me it was downloading! Well, we walked, visited different places, spent a few hours there, returned home, and the app stopped!!! Never was able to download anything!!! After paying twice, once for two people and another for one…. I have two apps, which didn’t work and don’t need!!!!!!! Needless to say, I’m deleting and NOT using ever again!

HI! Sorry that did not work out. All you need is the WalknTours app. That's it :). The signal in Deadwood is not the best for all carriers, so it is suggested to download on WiFi or beforehand. I hope this works out better next time, many took this tour and wrote me great feedback. Thank yoU!
