Historic Georgetown Architecture Tour

Overview
Established fifty years before the Capital, Georgetown began as a gritty port city on the banks of the Potomac River, described by Abigail Adams as a "dirty little hole". Despite its modest start, Georgetown is now home to palatial mansions, elegant cemeteries, stately churches, and a world-class University. We'll explore the highlights and secrets of DC's most exclusive neighborhood, discussing architecture, history, scandal, and more. By the end of the tour, we'll see Georgetown's full transformation in this rags to riches tale.

The guide was great! I don't know a lot about architecture nor Georgetown and it was nice learning a lot about both! Great opportunity to appreciate some history.

Sam was incredibly knowledgeable. He was personable and fun without being corny. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

We loved our walk with Sam B.- heā€™s a terrific guide with knowledge about the history and architecture of Georgetown! He even emailed me the night before to confirm. And best of all- heā€™s energetic and really funny! We met at Baked and Wired- a delicious bakery and easy to find. Our group of 10 had an enjoyable 2.5 hrs walking in a light rain with Sam telling us so many interesting stories. Itā€™s a great way to see beautiful neighborhoods, the canal system, Georgetown University (although we didnā€™t get to tour the campus), and downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to booking future tours.
