Fantastic overall with an educational side and a fun side. Our guide Marlin was fun to be around and more so, with the panning portion; was teaching the history while demonstrating the technique. He kept it light and fun. Even in rain, the trip operated and I’m glad we went. I would warn that the grounds can be slippery. If you do not have the confidence to walk in these conditions, do NOT purchase this tour. Everyone walks away with some gold. Is it enough to quit your job? Maybe. Or at least a nice beer in town. The bake itself is a bit of a landmark. The food is excellent and very uniquely fresh. The vibe is relaxing and not touristy feeling. From melting marshmallows to seeing a waterfall - it’s easy to spend an hour or two here. You go back to the dock on your terms. I highly recommend this tour and think it is managed perfectly. Very impressed overall and look forward to taking it again in future years.

The food and location was wonderful! The driver David was thoughtful, polite, and entertaining. He took a mundane ride and made it enjoyable gas if the beautiful scenery wasn’t enough). I wish he would be the driver on ALL of the shuttles we get on around the world!

It was very educational and the salmon bake was delicious. They have ribs if you don’t like salmon. It would have been better if hadn’t been raining but obviously they can’t control that.
