Within a few blocks there are four different parking garages, and several open-air parking lots. The closest garage to our location (just two blocks away) is at 149 Peabody Place between Second Street and BB King Blvd., next to the Hampton Inn. You can try your luck with on-street metered parking, too, on Second Street just south of Beale; on Beale between Front and Second; or along Peabody Place from Front to Fourth Street.

The weather was against us this tour, wind whipping, freezing cold and the occasional raindrop did not help in the enjoyment of the tour. Our guide was very friendly and we did see several buildings and heard a potted history of Memphis. The final half hour was spent at The Peabody hotel waiting for the ducks to march. The warmth of the hotel was much appreciated although the march was underwhelming.

Guide, Shannon, was phenomenal…informative, personable, funny and you can tell she loves her city! Time here “tasted “ducky” and “like more!” So worth the walk…MEMorable MEMphis! LOVED it all…and the duck walk was such an unexpected surprise
