[This is a tour that ABSOLUTELY MUST START ON TIME!] Buzz through Charlotte’s hopping Uptown neighborhood on this Segway tour of North Carolina’s biggest city! Follow your local guide as you glide along the Levine Avenue of the Arts and check out the Mint Museum, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, The Gantt Center and the historic Fourth Ward. Choose either a 1.5- or 2-hour ride – the longer ride includes two historic cemeteries and the Carolina Panthers football stadium. This is a GREAT, POPULAR tour of Uptown Charlotte, however we are VERY VERY rarely able to accommodate late guests. CRUCIAL INFO: PLEASE NOTE that if you are not able to park and arrive at our office at least 45 min. before your tour time for mandatory Segway training, you will likely miss your opportunity to go out on this tour! And availability to reschedule for the same day or for weekend/holiday tour times is VERY UNLIKELY. PROMPT ARRIVAL IS A MUST FOR THIS TOUR. THANK YOU!!!

MUST MUST MUST BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR! Arrive 45 min. before start time for training!!!
Minimum age is 12 years old and must weight at least 100 lbs.
Participants under 18, they must be with a parent or responsible party 21yrs or older and have a signed waiver from a parent
Minimum weight is 100lbs so the Segway computer can respond to your movement.
Maximum weight is 260lbs.
Dress code: Ideally wear comfortable closed toe shoes, weather appropriate layers, and no hats under helmets. Gloves recommended on cold days
No pregnant travelers are allowed
NOT ALLOWED FOR PREGNANT PARTICIPANTS!
NOT recommended for those who've had somewhat recent hip or knee replacements
NOT recommended for those with unpredictable blood sugar issues.
Participants must be able to stand for 1.5 -2 hrs and be able to climb stairs unaided.

We are new to the Charlotte area. So we were interested in doing some sightseeing. We also had guests visiting and were looking for an activity for the group. So we booked a Segway Tour.

The guys were very nice. They were patient and attentive with the orientation on how to operate the Segways, which is a little intimidating at first for a newbie. Once we were good to go, the tour was great. The guide none of us seem to have memorized his name yesterday was quite knowledgeable about Charlotte history and trivia. He also did a great job with safety tips and advice. There was one intersection where we crossed the street, in which he said many riders will sometimes accidentally end up in the middle of the street because of the sideways slope that confuses the riders control of the machine.
We toured through sections of all 4 wards of the Uptown area, seeing some cool neighborhoods and in-town parks along the way, which we had not previously known of in our first year in town.

Overall, it was a great experience. We would definitely recommend Charlotte Segway Tour to friends and family, and will likely do it again the next time we have visitors.

Excellent, wonderful time. Our guide T. was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this and plan to take another tour on a future visit to Charlotte.

JamesIII was fantastic and while we had done this tour before with another guide, James was outstanding!! We learned so much more about Charlotte this time around as James was so knowledgeable and so much fun. He kept us engaged with his point system and was so patient with us. He has the best sense of humor and is just the nicest guy. If you do this tour, ask for James the 3rd.
