Historic Uptown Neighborhood Segway Tour of Charlotte

Overview
Buzz through Charlotte’s hopping Uptown neighborhood on this Segway tour of North Carolina’s biggest city! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY (but participants must weigh at least 100 lbs. and can't be expecting a baby). We thoroughly and carefully train each guest BEFORE the 1.5 tour begins. It's FUN and EASY! Follow your local guide as you glide throughout the city, viewing our unique architecture, art, parks, and historic spaces. Our city has a fascinating history, and you can see it all UP CLOSE on a Segway! Choose either a 1.5- hr or 2-hour ride (the longer tour has limited availability). This is a GREAT, POPULAR tour of Uptown Charlotte, however we are often unable to accommodate guests who arrive late. PROMPT ARRIVAL IS A MUST FOR THIS TOUR. THANK YOU!!!

We did the historical tour with Tremaine, who is a great ambassador for the city and was chock full of knowledge about its recent growth and changes. We spent a good 2 hours on the tour with about 1/2 hour beforehand learning to ride our Segways. There were 4 of us in our group, so it was easy for us all to interact. We went all over Uptown and enjoyed views of the skyline as well as the small parks in each of the 4 wards. Highly recommended.

Had a day to spend in Charlotte and we decided a segway tour would be a fun thing to do. Our guide John was great. Gave us a lot of history, some old some fairly new. We learned a lot about the city and had a great time rolling around on those segways. I will say Charlotte may be the cleanest large city I have ever seen.

Business trips to Charlotte met either an airport or suburban hotel with a bus or limo ride to a steakhouse for dinner. Retired now and wanted to see what Charlotte has done with their money. John led us a on a tour of downtown and this place is alive. City fathers have promoted and invested heavily with a payback of clean streets and a thriving downtown population. He shared the roots of the city as we toured hundred year old neighborhoods in the shadow of skyscrapers. Charlotte is a working prototype of successful urban planning and understand now why all the growth. See it for yourself and get John to lead the way.
