We spent our Saturday afternoon with Clay (owner/operator) exploring much of Birmingham through his Magic City Tour. As many of his tours sell out, especially the Civil Rights tour, we were lucky enough to be the only two on this particular afternoon excursion which was such a treat. From the moment we met Clay, his attention to detail (including having sun umbrellas to protect his guests from the scorching Alabama sun) was beyond professional and impressive. We started at railroad park where we were fascinated by the history of the town as he pointed out many of the consequential buildings along Birmingham's skyline. Because of the expansive nature of the locations covered, Clay provides comfortable transport to and from, complete with snacks and cold beverages which made this pregnant lady's day! It was the perfect combination of walking and driving without sacrificing the quality of the tour. Clay's personality and knowledge was very engaging as he took us to the heaviest corner, Alabama Peanut, Sloss Furnaces, Legion Field, Rickwood Field, and Vulcan Park. If we ever find ourselves in Birmingham again, we would make certain to take his Civil Rights tour.

Hey Sunny, Thanks for visiting for the day, all the way from State College. We had an absolute blast showing y'all around the city and really enjoyed getting to know y'all. We would love to have y'all back down, especially when there are three of y'all. Thanks again, Clay

I took the tour with Clay on a rainy Saturday afternoon. But Clay, with his enthusiasm, knowledge and warmth made me forget about the elements and truly enjoy Birmingham as a city. This is a must for anyone wanting learn about the city and its history.
