This home and all it’s artifacts from long ago were so cool.. the family is also kin to several famous people.. highly recommend the tours. Not suitable for young kids because of the antiques.

I am so glad that the family has opened their home to share their story and history with us. The lady of the house gave the tour, and was very kind and personable. The plantation, furniture, and history are amazing!

Visited this plantation while staying in the area for a few days and have been to several other plantation tours, this was by far the best. The tour guide Mrs Shaffer also resides there as a 6th generation family member. Her love of both the plantation and history is overwhelming. The history of family members, furnishings and stories of movies filmed there is remarkable. I would love to visit again and she treats everyone very personally and makes you feel very welcome and answers any questions you may have.
