Chilly January mid week History and Movie Tour of Beaufort was enjoyed by 6 senior citizens. The tour guide was VERY knowledgeable and we would tour with her again. The PROBLEMS included poor location of where to pick up the tour. We went to the address listed and the shopkeeper directed us across the parking lot. A Different Tour was there and there was confusion as to whether we were on that tour. Fortunately he directed us back to another area and noted to watch for a new Mercedes van. Unfortunately the van for the tour was not a new one and in ill repair! Apparently this guide is not allowed to use the new one!!! She struggled with a rubber seal around the side entry was off and it took 15 minutes to try to get it back on track in order to board the van and then close the door. Once inside, the face microphone did not work. The guide did her best to speak loudly, however, the last 2 rows of guests lost much of the commentary. Kudos to our guide who extended the tour the full time plus a bit to make up for the lost time getting started. Hoping the secondary van is brought up to standard!

Lots of fun! If you’re a movie fan, this is the tour for you. Lots of movie tidbits with the history of Beaufort as well. Beaufort itself is just absolutely lovely. Tour guide was very informative and humorous. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour! Our guide seemed to know the history of Beaufort as well as anyone on the planet! We saw so many places that we would have otherwise missed on our own! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area!
