Overview

Your experience begins with a short video presentation in the main museum. After the video your guide will lead you on a short walking tour along the banks of the New River. You will visit the Pioneer House Museum, and the 1899 Replica Schoolhouse Museum, before returning to view the Seminole culture, Maritime history and pioneer exhibits in the main museum. All three museums are located on the picturesque banks of the New River right in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

We were fortunate there were only 4 of us on the tour so it was very personalised. The guide was quite knowledgeable and gave a good background to the establishment of Fort Lauderdale and the buildings we visited. The top floor of the main building houses art and craft workshops that were very interesting
