Hoonah Whale-Watching Cruise

Overview

Embark on a small-group, 3-hour whale watching and wildlife sightseeing tour from Hoonah, Alaska in our custom built vessels with heated cabins and restroom. Every season humpback whales come in large numbers to Hoonah to feed on the nutrient-rich waters of Glacier Bay and Icy Strait before migrating south again for the winter. The whale population begins to arrive in Hoonah in May, and stays through September.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed whale watching with Joardan and his beautiful family. It was such an intimate experience being able to share the waters with someone who's grown up on those seas most of his life. We saw several whales, sea lions, sea otters and bald eagles. Worth every penny if you are lucky enough to travel with Hoonah Whale Tours! Plus Mariah makes homemade blueberry muffins with blueberries Joardan picks himself! :
