What To Expect

Hoover Dam

This iconic adventure starts by traveling down Kingman Wash passing several historic mining sites. As you start the kayak trip you will navigate through slot canyons and marvel at the towering 800 foot cliffs surrounding you. All guides are Wilderness First Aid/CPR certified and go through an extensive training program to provide excellent customer service and ensure guests safety.

Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

While paddling through calm waters, you will enjoy a unique view of The Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. This bridge offers views of the surrounding canyons and landscape.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

While paddling the two mile stretch of Lake Mead, you can marvel in the beauty of the canyons. You will discover the beauty of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

What a fabulous trip! Our guide Ray made it so enjoyable and provided great information about Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and other surroundings. Lunch was very good and we enjoyed it on a little beach off the lake. Definitely a great experience and many thanks to our guide, Ray!

Faith was a great tour guide. She was prepared for us with Kayaks ready to go, gave us a crash course on using foot pedals for steering and rudder control, which we had never used before. Faith pointed out much of the local wildlife and was especially knowledgeable about native plants growing in the area. We found Faith to be very friendly, courteous and informative. As we neared the Dam , she spoke about its construction, size and security and then we took a break with lunch close by the Dam and enjoyed conversation with her and our fellow Kayaker David. We had originally planned our trip for a later time in the day, but Faith had called the night before to let us know high winds were in the forecast and suggested an earlier start time . On our way back from lunch , we got a taste of the winds and we’re glad that we started earlier at Faiths suggestion. Good call on her part. All in all, it was a great trip for my family, we enjoyed the scenery, wildlife and seeing a famous US landmark up close. I would highly recommend Faith as a tour guide-she was friendly, informative, patient and fun to kayak with. Thank you !
