What To Expect
1
Hoover Dam
This exciting tour commences with complimentary hotel pickup. As you make your way to the Hoover Dam, you will travel past Lake Mead, the second largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere. The tour will provide you with the opportunity to walk on the top of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge. Following this stop, you will cross over the top of the Dam with closeup views of the architecture, penstocks and Arizona Spillway. When the Hoover Dam was completed early in 1935, it was both the world's largest electric power producing facility and the world's largest concrete structure, weighing a total of 6.6 million tons. You will discover a multitude of facts on your tour about this impressive structure.

Hoover Dam Bypass
The Bypass Bridge opened in 2010 stretching nearing 2,000 feet long and 840 feet above the Colorado River, making it the second highest bridge in the United States. Ample time is provided for souvenir shopping and purchase of food items at the Dam restaurant. This is truly an exciting and very educational experience that will provide you with a thorough overview of this fascinating, nearly 90 year old, civil engineering wonder of the world.

Glad you enjoyed the tour of the remarkable Hoover Dam and the Bypass Bridge. Hard to believe the Dam is nearly 90 years old and as you discovered, it still is an amazing piece of architecture. Happy New Year to all and please come see us again.

Great tour! My mom, sister, and I attended the 11/27/2021 trip to Hoover Dam. Our guide (I believe his name is Bill) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a safe driver! The bus we rode on was clean and presentable. I would recommend taking this tour even though we couldn't go inside (per current Covid protocols). Thank you!

Yes, we certainly hope that we are all able to visit the generator room at the Dam someday soon. So glad you enjoyed the tour with Bill. He is a great guide and really enjoys conducting tours. I will pass on your comments to him. Have a joyous holiday season and please come see us soon.

The trip to the Hoover Dam was a comfortable ride and well timed. We stopped at 3 different places with more than enough time at each. Our guide, Bill, was very knowledgeable and engaging. His breadth of knowledge and experience was impressive and he was very kind and helpful. However of the 10 guests plus the driver my wife and I were the only ones with masks the entire time on the trip despite the Nevada law requiring them indoors (in a closed vehicle for prolonged time the risk is actually greater). I thought that the mask wearing should have been enforced and created an unsafe situation. This should be addressed
