Your Hoover Dam tour travels from Las Vegas, through Henderson - second largest city in Nevada, historic Boulder City, past the picturesque Lake Mead, then over the top of Hoover Dam to the Arizona Lookout. A brief stop will be made at the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge, providing an opportunity for you to walk on the tip of the bridge for amazing photo opportunities. Your professional tour guide will provide full narration of this 5-51/2 hour adventure as you travel through the colorful natural side of the Las Vegas Valley. Enjoy spectacular views of scenic Lake Mead, the awe inspiring Mike O'Callahan/Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (Bypass Bridge) and the entire Hoover Dam complex. This tour includes a light breakfast snack and access to the Visitor Center and the Generator Room.

What To Expect

Hoover Dam

This exciting tour commences with complimentary hotel pickup. As you make your way to the Hoover Dam, you will travel past Lake Mead, the second largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere. The tour will provide you with the opportunity to walk on the top of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge. Following this stop, you will cross over the top of the Dam with closeup views of the architecture, penstocks and Arizona Spillway. When the Hoover Dam was completed early in 1935, it was both the world's largest electric power producing facility and the world's largest concrete structure, weighing a total of 6.6 million tons. You will discover a multitude of facts on your tour about this impressive structure.

Hoover Dam Bypass

The Bypass Bridge opened in 2010 stretching nearing 2,000 feet long and 840 feet above the Colorado River, making it the second highest bridge in the United States. Ample time is provided for souvenir shopping and purchase of food items at the Dam restaurant. This is truly an exciting and very educational experience that will provide you with a thorough overview of this fascinating, nearly 90 year old, civil engineering wonder of the world.

Our driver and Sweetours guide Bil C was amazing. He had the knowledge and was very entertaining. He made the ride short there short. The leisure of being able to roam around the Hoover Dam is exceptional. Bil even stopped at Lake Mead for us to savor the view! I would recommend this tour with Sweetours!

Pretty decent trip. The bus that took us there was nice inside but it was a very rough ride. Might of been roads or shocks on bus. The windows also rattled and was distracting trying to listen to guide.

My adult daughters and I made our first trip to Vegas and knew we wanted to go to Hoover Dam. We had the BEST shuttle driver BIL C who made it more than enjoyable to and from. He was extremely knowledgeable and included Lake Mead and stops along the way. He was a sweetheart and made it interesting AND fun as he added humor along the way. Hoover Dam is an amazing sight to see and learn all of the history about it. The driver picked us up right at our hotel for $50/each and brought us back. We were gone approx. 4 hours and still had the rest of the day left for fun.
