Hoover Dam
This exciting tour commences with complimentary hotel pickup. As you make your way to the Hoover Dam, you will travel past Lake Mead, the second largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere. The tour will provide you with the opportunity to walk on the top of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge. Following this stop, you will cross over the top of the Dam with closeup views of the architecture, penstocks and Arizona Spillway. When the Hoover Dam was completed early in 1935, it was both the world's largest electric power producing facility and the world's largest concrete structure, weighing a total of 6.6 million tons. You will discover a multitude of facts on your tour about this impressive structure.

Hoover Dam Bypass
The Bypass Bridge opened in 2010 stretching nearing 2,000 feet long and 840 feet above the Colorado River, making it the second highest bridge in the United States. Ample time is provided for souvenir shopping and purchase of food items at the Dam restaurant. This is truly an exciting and very educational experience that will provide you with a thorough overview of this fascinating, nearly 90 year old, civil engineering wonder of the world.

Our Tour Guide Bil C was excellent he was such a character made our tour fun and very insightful. He is very knowledgeable about the history behind the Hoover Dam so on point that when we saw the short movie at the Hoover Dam we already knew the information and made it so easy to follow and understand. We are definitely booking our Grand Canon tour on our next visit to Vegas.

Our driver and tour guide during the drive to the Dam pointed out points of interest, movie star's homes, shared information on the building of the new Raider's Stadium and the history of the numerous hotels.

We didn't have time to shop and eat, went 6 hours with nothing to eat. Though we would stop at Lake Mead but only passed by for an over look. Got dehydrated and sick from drink facet water during the Dam Tour, when I got home I vomited and was laid up in bed for the rest of the day, all night, and all of the morning. Bus Drivers kept asking for tips, and though they were mostly nice, I felt rushed. Long story short we didn't tip, and won't go for the cheaper tours again. Pack a lunch, they wouldn't let us take our hydroflasks on the tour.
