We purchased hop on/hop off with a $5 off coupon (there's one in the map you can grab at the Visitor's Center), so we thought the difference between the 90 minute tour and the hop on/ off was worth it. The 90 minute tour was $28 I think. We hopped off for lunch and when we went to get back on, four buses in a row came and there were no spaces for our party (only 3 of us). Finally, I called and asked about it and the lady was really quite nice, but offered me no real help, either. An apology doesn't mean that much unless it comes with a solution. At each stop when we were able to take on other guests, they had the same story--at one stop (we were full), guests were really upset because they had waited for more than an hour. They had clearly over sold and that's not right to do! We wouldn't use them again; however, when we were in DC, we did the same thing with the other company (orange and green buses) and we had the exact same problem!! This company has the white buses and are locally owned. Both of the tour guides we had were good. While on the bus, we really enjoyed ourselves, but the hop on/hop off was not a good service. We had planned on getting on and off much more than we did, but...we just stayed aboard and went back to points of interest in our car. We sort of justified the cost of the ticket by not having to pay for parking, not using our gas, convenience. As it turned out, we did all of those things and there was no convenience. If you could find a seat on buses, it's GREAT. If you can't, however, it's a disappointment.

We appreciate you joining us for a tour while in Savannah. We would like to apologize for the wait time you had on the on/off tour. The onslaught of people that traveled to Savannah was unprecedented. And, navigating in unchartered territory with the pandemic has definitely brought opportunities and challenges. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait and we apologize for that. We hope you'll try us again.
