Our tour guide (Brooke), driver (Phil) and horses Maverick and Turbo were the highlight of our experience. They made our ride out and back a delight! The dinner food was mostly good but was served in drawn out courses: Course 1: potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw, cornbread muffins. Course 2: chili beans. Course 3: corn on the cob (didn't eat that..had enough carbs by then) Course 4: ribs. Course 5: chicken (didn't eat that either). I'm sure the goal is to fill everyone up before the protein is served. Most of it tasted fine and there was bottomless wine and other drinks available. My recommendation is to go for the experience (and bring your mosquito spray) and not necessarily for the food.

Our first excursion of our trip and had a wonderful time. The evening we went, there were two different wagons and Katie was our tour guide. She had just completed her first year of college and was a complete delight. She greeted us with warm cookies and a shy smile but her enthusiasm for working there was evident! She was extremely knowledgeable about the horses, the area ~ including wildlife and fauna. If you go away hungry, it's your own fault because there's plenty of food to pick from. Our menu was salmon, chicken wings, buffalo chili, potato salad, pasta salad, corn on the cob, corn muffins, ribs and a blueberry cake. Plenty to pick from in the beverage department.
