Overview

We're one of two rental companies located on the Buffalo Bayou in Houston. What sets us apart from our competition is that we are open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm. We also have a variety of colors to choose from when it comes to kayaks so you'll be able to live your most colorful life.

Additionally, there is staff on call in case you get stuck or need help to get in and out of your kayak or board. Our staff is also more than happy to give you a lesson on how to use the equipment before you get out on the water! We are always to help out any guests with any questions before or after you get on the water.

We had an amazing time with Buffalo Bayou Kayak Tours & Kayak Rentals! It was my friend’s first time kayaking, and the staff made us feel safe and comfortable from start to finish. They were super helpful getting us in and out of the kayaks, and their friendly guidance made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We had a blast exploring the bayou and can’t wait to come back for another adventure! Highly recommend for beginners and experienced kayakers alike! 🚣‍♀️🌊🔥

Had an amazing first-time kayaking experience at Houston Buffalo Bayou Kayak and Paddleboard Rentals! From the moment i arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, but the real MVP was Blake. He took the time to thoroughly explain how to kayak, making sure we felt comfortable and confident before heading out on the water. His patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm made a huge difference honestly, if it weren’t for Blake, we might’ve spent more time spinning in circles than actually paddling! The kayaks were in great condition, and the overall experience was fun and relaxing. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the water quality Buffalo Bayou isn’t the cleanest, and the smell in some areas was a little off-putting. But if you can look past that, it’s a fantastic way to see a different side of Houston and enjoy a peaceful paddle. Huge shoutout to Blake for making my first kayaking trip a great one! If you’re a beginner, definitely ask for him he’s the best.
