Overview

In this 4 - 5 mile trails with REAL & PURE Huskies you will learn the history of the dog mushing and get an experience on how to help ride the sled with voice commands.

*** 2 tickets are required for Passengers over 250 pounds or 113 Kilograms ***

We will pick you up at 10:00am or 11:00pm at your Hotel in Fairbanks Downtown.

We will meet you at Pike's Waterfront Lodge (1850 Hoselton Drive Fairbanks, AK 99709) or Walmart Parking Lot if you do not stay at a hotel in Fairbanks Downtown.

You may get an email for pick up location and time.
(We DO NOT text you on your phone.)

(Pick up time is subject to change.)

If you use Uber or a rent car to get here, you need to pay additional expense. If you drive to the dog sledding sites, it would be dangerous because of the snow and unknown road conditions. Therefore, we offer to pick you up.

We will upload your pictures into a OneDrive or a Dropbox. We will send a url linked to download them all.

Dog mushing was one of the main things on my to-do list in Alaska, and when I found out that AJT does this with Siberian huskies AND provides transportation & photography, I had to book it (and actually ended up canceling the dog mushing with another company). And it was the best decision I ever made! The lovely and amazing David picked me up at the scheduled time and drove me to the location, where ~10 huskies were waiting for me with their owner Tony. He clearly loves his dogs and takes care of them, they are absolutely beautiful! Throughout the journey he shared very interesting information on dog mushing and made sure I was safe and comfortable. Then as we were arriving back, David was running around taking photos of me with the dogs from different angles. He is incredibly sweet and really wants you to get the most of the experience, meanwhile making sure he captures all of your emotions and interactions with the dogs. David is a gem! If you want to do dog mushing in Alaska, make sure to book this tour and no other!

This ride has been the most joyful and rewarding experience so far! Dogs were so friendly and adorable that we had a hard time to leave. I strongly recommend taking the tour with David and Tony, who are the best at what they do!

My girlfriend and I have been in Fairbanks for a few days now and this topped it so far. From the pick-up ride to the dog sledding, the petting/socializing time with the dogs and the pictures, this really was memorable. The musher, Tony, was very detailed when explaining their breed/diet/names/behavior/etc while he was giving us the ride. It truly showed he has a connection with his dogs and they listen to him, with the occasional younger puppy wanting to go elsewhere :). Spending some time with them afterwards was the best part. I feel like I made my connection with Togiak (picture). We are truly keen on coming back in the future, and will love to do this again. The Alaska103 team in general is also very helpful at getting this arranged. I would definitely recommend booking this and other activities with them.
