Incredible Aurora Viewing Adventure

Overview

* The adventure starts in our warm, modern luxury VIP sprinter van to one or more locations that, depending on weather, will be best for viewing.
* Learn from a local expert about Fairbanks and Alaska in a small group setting (no more than 14 guests)
* Training on how to take photos of the Incredible Northern Lights with hands-on assistance
* Enjoy looking up stargazing into the universe, glamour at the constellations, maybe catch a shooting star, and chase the Aurora Borealis
* Per request, while waiting for Aurora we offer a campfire with delicious, homegrown, Alaskan reindeer hot dogs
* On evenings when the Northern Lights are exceptionally active, we may stay out later for your enjoyment
* Aurora Portraits are included if desired for FREE.
We will only go out when we know we are going to see some Aurora. If you are scheduled for a day and the weather is not favorable we will call and suggest a better day.

Going out to see the aurora with this tour was my favorite part of my Fairbanks vacation! I went out with this group and Daniel as my guide three times in one week. Day of communication on the trip and pick up was great. Daniel was always so friendly and helped everyone in the group feel included. He knows so much about Alaska and the lights and it was great to talk to him. He really knows how to find the lights and enthusiastically took really good pictures. Each night Daniel really went the extra mile to do everything to make the trip an unforgettable experience. Helped me with the settings on my camera too. The campfire, reindeer hotdogs, and drinks were all awesome. Between those things, bundling up, and sitting in the heated van occasionally, I wasn’t too cold. I would recommend this tour as the number one thing to do in Fairbanks! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

What an amazing night! First of all, we booked directly through the company (cheaper and put me in direct contact with them by email). We got a text the day of our excursion saying they were excited and hopeful as the lights looks to be active that night, however weather was questionable and there was only a 30-40% chance of seeing them. We were given the option to 1.) cancel with full refund 2.) reschedule to another day that week or 3.) go out and take our chances without the guarantee. After responding to several very annoying questions from me, we decided to take our chances. I am SO GLAD we did! They picked us up at 9:15 from our hotel. There were only the five of us, one other couple and another individual on the trip along with our 2 guides. They drove us in their lovely van about 40 minutes out of town. It was -8 out and windy but they found a clearing and within 15 minutes the lights came out! I appreciated the heated van (it was plenty warm for us to take breaks and warm up in) as well as the small fire, hot drinks and reindeer sausage (which I didn’t try but appreciated the option!) They also had hand warmers for my freezing California teenagers. I know some of it is dumb luck, but we had the most incredible light show! Nick showed me how to take the best pics and then took complimentary pictures of our whole family. We took them more than once as the lights just kept getting better and better. We got to watch them dance across the sky for a very long time. Since they came out so fast and we got a great show we even got consensus to head back to town early and got a good night’s sleep. I recommend them to anyone who wants to maximize their chances of seeing the lights. It was our most expensive excursion of the trip but worth every penny to cross off this bucket list item!

We had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Our guide Daniel was excellent. We were literally chasing Aurora Borealis ! He made sure that we get the best experience ever. Since it was dark, our life depended on him and we just trusted him. From setting up the bonfire ; to the tasting of the delicious reindeer hotdog ; to the coffee and the chocolate drinks - he made sure that were all taken cared of . Above all - he made sure we have the best photos taken with the Aurora Borealis. Coming all the way from the Philippines - this was worth all the trip ! I would surely recommend this tour and would tell them to request for the same tour guide - Daniel. We learned a lot from Daniel being a local. We not got our awesome photos which we will cherish for the rest of our life ! It was indeed a once in a lifetime experience in Fairbanks Alaska - "ONE FOR THE BOOKS". . Thank you very much Daniel and Viator for this amazing experience !
