Incredible Aurora Viewing Adventure

Overview

* The adventure starts in our warm, modern luxury VIP sprinter van to one or more locations that, depending on weather, will be best for viewing.
* Learn from a local expert about Fairbanks and Alaska in a small group setting (no more than 14 guests)
* Training on how to take photos of the Incredible Northern Lights with hands-on assistance
* Enjoy looking up stargazing into the universe, glamour at the constellations, maybe catch a shooting star, and chase the Aurora Borealis
* Per request, while waiting for Aurora we offer a campfire with delicious, homegrown, Alaskan reindeer hot dogs
* On evenings when the Northern Lights are exceptionally active, we may stay out later for your enjoyment
* Aurora Portraits are included if desired for FREE.
We will only go out when we know we are going to see some Aurora. If you are scheduled for a day and the weather is not favorable we will call and suggest a better day.

Everything great, its cold in December. Good guide and good experience. I recommend to do this. As per guide March and August and no to littlw moon days are better .

I am very glad I took the tour with Nick and Daniel. They are professional and friendly. We have a clear sky that night, no cloud, even no wind! They took us to a nice aurora view spot. I really like such kind of feeling: at that cold night we are the only tour company in that spot, with warm campfire set up, with hot tea and Alaskan reindeer sausage cooked with the campfire. Then Daniel start to whistle. I believe this is a tradition when native Alaska people are trying to see Aurora. The whistle sounds very ethereal in the cold Alaska night. After a while the Aurora did showed up! And Nick is a professional photographer! He took a lot nice picture for us! It was amazing! This is the first time we see aurora and we will never forget about this!

The lights were not spectacular the night we went, which is always a risk. They were mildly apparent in photos. Polar Dan was such a nice and knowledgable guy. We were invited the next night due to the lack of lights the first night. Both my friend and I were extremely uncomfortable with the tour due to the fact the GUIDE was getting drunk and sitting in the back with us instead of being on the lookout for lights/helping other people. He even got out of the car at one point and hoped in the back with us through the trunk while we were sleeping. We were very uncomfortable and even more so because he had our address and we were staying in an Airbnb by ourselves (two unarmed females). He mentioned while drunk he knew exactly where we were staying and the empty valley next to the Airbnb. We didn’t see the lights the second night and were extremely uncomfortable. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is because polar Dan was extremely nice and knowledgable.

This is under investigation and a refund has been processed. We do not ever want things like this to happen and are reviewing policies and procedures to prevent anything like this in the future. All guests should feel safe and know that we do vet all employees before hiring.
