This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point
Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

While the weather was most uncooperative during the week we were in Fairbanks, this company was able to find a small window for our ability to view the Aurora. The company made it easy for pick up our hotel at 10 pm and took us to an open area where they set up a bonfire to enjoy hot dogs/reindeer meat and dessert, along with hot drinks prior to our time to view this spectacular event. There was also a bathroom to use if needed. The guides also tried to find the Aurora in other areas during our time frame but unfortuneately the cloud cover was not cooperative in allowing us another opportunity to see the event. At least we got to see the Aurora

Thank you for joining us. Our team uses multiple forecast systems to ensure that we get the best possible chance for the auroras. We are happy that you were able to view them and always disappointed if the clouds roll in. We do hope you enjoyed every part of our tour and wish you a very happy holiday seasons.

Chasing the aurora and *really* seeing it usually requires more than just stepping outside your hotel room, which is why I’d really recommend booking a tour! They take you where you need to go and removing the stress of driving on icy roads and being out late is a game changer. On top of that, the amenities! We cooked reindeer sausages over the fire as the lights danced overhead. It was a wonderful Alaska experience. Andrew and Andre were so nice to talk to. Andrew was more than happy to take photos of us with the nice camera and Andre had the sausages and drinks ready to go. Just really great overall :)

Thank you for highlighting the importance of getting outside of the hotel rooms. The Alaskan night light is great, but a rare treat from the hotel. We truly hope your adventure with us was everything you hoped for. Andrew and Andre are a great duo. Thank you for sharing your experience and trusting our team with your adventure. Happy Holidays!
