I highly recommend the tour! We crossed the border alone, but Carlos was expecting us right after. The tour started at the appointed time, there were 10 people and it was very nice. Carlos showed us very well the places we visited, and was a fantastic guide! We also tasted tequila 2 times. Since you walk all the time, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

The meeting at the agreed time at the border worked great. We went there from San Diego by train (blue line) and were kindly received by our Border Assistant Diego. Over the border we were then handed over to Carlos, who guided us through the city. The whole tour was super great and there were great food & tequila stops. We were a small group of 7 people. Carlos was a great guide and super friendly, it was a lot of fun. We would book the tour again and again:-) You have to be patient on your way back across the border. We queued for about 1.5 hours, which is normal.
