Learn to scuba dive during your Maui vacation with Banyan Tree Divers Maui! Our mobile dive shop is owned and operated by PADI instructors who each have over 10 years of professional teaching experience. We focus on your safety and comfort with small group sizes. If you want the one-on-one attention you deserve, then you have found the Lahaina dive shop for you. We provide all of our guests with personalized attention, and when possible, private diving.

PLEASE READ: You MUST be able to swim to complete the Introductory Dive. This means that each student can swim unassisted in the ocean. Our Private Dive is REQUIRED for less comfortable swimmers, available in a separate listing. Misrepresentation of your swimming ability will lead to removal from the experience and NO REFUND.

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30lbs for a short distance
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more
Guests MUST be proficient at swimming in order to complete this activity. If you show up for diving and cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IS REQUIRED. This means that each student must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.
Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
Gear/equipment sanitised between use
Guides required to regularly wash hands
Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons
While scuba diving involves minimal physical contact with guests, your immediate safety is our first priority. Thus, we are unable to promise consistent social distancing during your dive experience. All gear is sanitized before and after use.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and Caitlin. My wife and daughter certified with him....my wife being very nervous. Kevin did a great job calming her and showing her what a great experience diving can be. Highly recommended!

Fantastic time on my first ever dive! My sister and I took the beginner dive course and could not be more pleased with the service and especially the patience (we were a little all over the place getting comfortable in the water with all the gear). We saw so much and got some great pictures along the way as well. They were totally cool with me bringing my gopro, and our instructor also took great shots.
