According to my reservation, I was told to meet my bus in Vineyard Haven but when it didn’t show up, I got a call from the driver saying they were picking up in Oaks Bluff. We had to wait for 30 minutes while they made their way to us in Vineyard Haven, causing us to miss 30 minutes of the tour. I was given the option to take the afternoon tour but that did not work for our schedule. Besides this significant hiccup, the bus was comfortable and I was thankful for the cold bottled water on board as it was a very hot day. I did learn many interesting facts about the island during the tour.

ALLLLLLL passengers meet in Oak Bluffs.... ITS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY.... we have never picked people up in Vineyard Haven, unless the ferry is not running in Oak Bluffs... ALL THE INFO IS ON THE TICKET....

A great activity for our family reunion of five households, ranging in age from four to 74. Island Tour supplied the right size life jackets and paddles for us all and we enjoyed the tidbits about local color (where Obama golfed) and nature (rare double crested blackbirds).
