Jake Woe's Comedy Walk©

Overview
Discover DC with a stand-up comedian!

Jake will cover the basics, starting out at 1701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW walking along the white house and then west to the Einstein Memorial, and then from the Lincoln Memorial through the Mall, and ending at the Washington Monument.

Jake promises you’ll learn things during your Comedy Walk that are both unexpected and unavailable from any other source. Jake’s intelligent and occasionally self-deprecating humor will put you at ease right from the start, make the time and the walk go quickly, and give you many laughs along the way.

Very disturbing. Prior to the walk, he texted me about “inappropriate touching.” It was not funny, and certainly not professional. Upon the onset of the walk, he asked what level of sex material could be included. We were taken aback by this question since it was a family historical comedy tour of dc. My response was that my teen daughter prefers romance and prince charming references. He proceeded with tour mentioning numerous tasteless references to oral sex. There was no amount of historical value with this tour. The non sexual jokes were limited to bathroom jokes. My daughter and I were very uncomfortable, and tried to physically distance ourselves from him. Worst tour ever!

Dear Ms Dawn Tsvetkoff Loria We regret that your experience with Jake Woe's ComedyWalk was unsatisfactory. When you messaged us asking for a refund, we immediately apologized for your experience and refunded your money. When you thanked us we thought the matter was closed. We reviewed the texts from the night before the walk between the comic that led your walk and you. It is clear, from the texts, that you were having a joking exchange with the comic and that there was never any suggestion of inappropriate touching or any inappropriate touching at any time. We agree the exchange was not very funny. Perhaps you should have not taken the walk after that, we would have gladly refunded your money. We instruct our comics to tell their guests that their material covers a wide range of topics, some of which might be over the clients’ lines, and that it is important that the guests are comfortable. Your response that your teen daughter "prefers romance and prince charming references" was unfortunately not very instructive and possibly resulted in a failure to communicate. Our walk is not advertised as a family historical tour of DC. We are an adult stand up performance with the National Mall as the stage, which is why we don't permit under-age children on the walk. Even though the walk is not a historical tour, your walk did include over 20 historical and interesting details. The walk is advertised as 80% comedy and 40% facts. We will review Jake's walks to make sure that there are not too many facts. Again, we apologize that you did not understand the focus of the ComedyWalk and that you did not find it funny. Comedy is very personal and Jake Woe, until your review, has only gotten stellar reviews. We hope your next experience is closer to your expectations.

You will LOVE this tour. Jake is hilarious and the trip around the DC mall was a great way to take in some monument sights and laugh a little. What a great ideal.
