The jet ski rental and pontoon boat rental combo was a blast. We got a full hour on the jet skis in Biscayne Bay near downtown Miami/South Beach. For $100 with the time limit and location, you really cannot beat it!

They need to be on time. And more clear on arrival instructions. I booked for 2pm and they didn’t arrive until like 3:30pm. We were standing outside for an hour and 30 mins.

I’ll start with the positives: the jetski ride itself was amazing - 45 mins to an hour is PLENTY of time to have a go at it if it’s your first time, so I highly recommend it. Now for the negatives: the tour is advertised as $99, but after you book it, the confirmation email tells you to bring along $60 for gas, so it’s really a $160 tour (classic tourist trap, kind of expected). I don’t think I’ve ever had so much trouble finding the start point of a tour before. The tour says “South Beach” but the boat actually picks you up from Mid Beach, so if you’re staying in South Beach, don’t book in haste expecting you can get there quickly. I originally booked for 12 noon, then after panicking to get to Mid Beach quickly, I struggled to find where the boat left off from. I tried to contact the tour operators multiple times with no luck, then after some very mixed and vague instructions, I was late and had to reschedule for the 3:30 session. When I came back later, I still couldn’t find the starting spot - after asking countless people where to go, it turns out there were no signs/posters at the correct location anyway. PLEASE put up a sign saying “JetSki tours start here!” or something similar. Eventually I worked it out with another very confused couple who were set to do the tour as well. Worst tour instructions ever, and almost lost more money than I should have. If this company can find a way to advertise better where their tour starts from (emailing a picture of a map with the location pinpointed is a great start) and the two tour operators can get on the same page with each other about those directions, then this tour would be a 10/10. Too much stress for something that should be fun and relaxing.
