What made all the difference, was our very informative and engaging guide Preston. He provided a great deal of background information in a cohesive manner.

We were in Dallas for a concert. On Sunday we needed something to do. Found this well reviewed tour of one of the darkest days in American history. This was well worth the time. Couldnā€™t have been easier to book and find the meeting point. Our guide, John, was excellent. Heā€™s originally from Italy. Yet I would guess he knows far more about the events of November 22, 1963 than most. His attention to detail and intricate explanation of what happened kept us focused on what happened that day. He then took our group on a walk down Dealey Plaza and showed us the route the motorcade took. You see where the sniperā€™s nest is on the sixth floor. There are theee ā€œXsā€ painted on the street. These signify where the shots landed. He also took us to the grassy knoll and showed the spot where Abraham Zapruder shot his movie that showed the tragedy. Next was the boarding house where Oswald rented a room. It is a walk back to 1963. It is basically untouched. A few replicas from the era and event are in display. We then used our passes to go to the sixth floor and tour the museum of the assassination. Humbling. Solemn. Somber. Well worth your time.

Our tour guide asked us who killed jfk, my husband answered organized crime. When it was my turn, I said the CIA, he said, ā€œIā€™m surprised you didnā€™t think it was organized crime too.ā€ I told him that was a racist comment, because he was making it based on the fact that we are Italian and from New York. He laughed it off and said sorry, not sorry. We decided not to take the full tour with Tim because of his superior attitude.
