Overview

You will begin this 1 hour and 30 minute guided tour by meeting your tour guide, (who will be wearing a neon green shirt) at Margaritaville. Musician Jimmy Buffett arrived in Key West 50 years ago in 1971. This walking tour will take you to the locations around Old Key West that inspired his songs, where he played his first gig, some of his favorite watering holes, places he ate, bars he played in, and his recording studio. You will get to eat a slice of the best Key Lime Pie, before visiting the location of the first Margaritaville, Mallory Square, and end at Capt. Tony's Saloon. Included is a souvenir alcoholic beverage.

Interesting tour especially if you take the guided version. Cool house with great stories. Architecture and cat lovers ; writers, romantics would appreciate all that this man did. No lines to speak of.

Carol and Mark were friendly and knowledgeable, and the tour was substantive. We learned a lot about Hemingway's life in Key West that you don't find out in the house tour. Lots of Key West and Florida history too. It was definitely hot and we were glad to find A/C, but we were also glad to find the tour we wanted to do during our stay.
