Johnson City is one of the most popular town attractions in the Hill Country - with over 1 million lights on view at Pedernales Electric Co-op, the fully draped Courthouse and the shops along the historically quaint town square. Take a stroll through Wonderland with the family. Grab a cocoa or cider from one of the onsite vendors, take a hayride or carriage ride, or just relax and enjoy the setting. Johnson City is a Do-Not-Miss at Christmastime!

We really enjoyed this tour. Although we have been to Johnson City for business purposes, we have never before seen the Lyndon Johnson family home or the wonderful lights at the historical center. The tour was great. Dave and Valerie we wonderful - explaining what we were seeing, the historical context (Dave is a historian), and what is available during the Christmas Lights event in Johnson City. Thank you for terrific experience.

The hosts were both very good and friendly. I just expected more for the amount of money that we spent. Maybe more narration as we drove from Fredericksburg to Johnson City? Maybe about different wineries and history. They went through some Johnson City stuff but there were long gaps... I would also suggest more than water aboard for a holiday theme trolley. The other thing is waiting an hour at the second stop was really long to only see lit up trees. I know you could do tractor rides but everyone I saw in our group was sitting on the wall waiting to leave.

Thank you for your compliments on your hosts. We do our best to describe every tour we list, and this one is a sightseeing tour advertised that we play music and show old movies along the way since it is dark outside as we are traveling to see the Christmas lights. It's not about the wineries, and there's not much to see in the dark until we arrive at our destination. Lights Spectacular is very popular throughout the state and offers a variety of activities - in addition to the PEC lights, which is why we give our guests a schedule of events in town each weekend. It is your choice to go to any of them, and there are several activities besides the hayrides that are near the lighted treescape. Many of our guests wish we allowed more time, and we do our best to balance the timing. Thousands of people visit the town of Johnson City each weekend to enjoy the Lights Spectacular displays and we strive to make our transportation comfortable and enjoyable for those celebrating the season.

Dave and Valerie were our hosts and did an excellent job. Supplied information on the area that was interesting and entertaining. The highlight was PEC lights decoration in Johnson City - wonderful.
