What To Expect
1
Joshua Tree National Park
A very user-friendly park, Joshua Tree is known for expansive deserts, unique rock formations, and of course, Joshua Trees. Hikes are well thought out 2-3 mile loops, and most areas of the park offer expansive views. While offering plenty of opportunities for bouldering, the vast majority of hikes do not require significant elevation gain, exposure, or technical skills. The northern portion of the park is what post people visit, including the most well-known rock formations and mature Joshua Trees. Unique plant life exists within the areas between rock formations, and desert surrounds as far as the eye can see. The southern and less visited portion houses a field of baby Joshua Trees, Skull Rock, and unique plant life straight out of The Lion King. Each of these scenes provides a stunning backdrop for sunset photos, as we continue to work south through the end of the day.
2
Hidden Valley
The Northern portion of Joshua Tree includes numerous Joshua Tree Fields, rock valleys, and hiking opportunities. The group will be able to hike numerous trails at different skill levels.
3
Joshua Tree
Jumbo Rocks will allow for more hiking, this time among some of the largest, smoothed boulders in North America. From smaller ones for kids to some of the most daunting boulders available, these aren't found anywhere else. The group will break for lunch after.
4
Cholla Cactus Garden
Some of the largest Joshua Tree gardens on earth, you will be able to see everything from the babies to the adults as far as the eye can see. And luckily, the sun sets behind the field, making this a wonderful photo stop as we head towards to end of the day.
5
Skull Rock
Arrgh. There's no denying that this rock looks like a pirate skull. Sometimes nature can have a sense of humor.
6
Cottonwood Spring
A lush oasis in the middle of the desert, this looks straight out of Timon and Pumba's home in The Lion King. Hakunah Matata. After a bite to eat, we will hit the road and head back to Las Vegas.

My wife and I visited Joshua Tree with ECA, and weā€™re so glad that we did. While itā€™s a premium product, they really go above and beyond to deliver. Prior to the trip, we made a custom itinerary and did a pre-trip prep session with Ryan over Zoom that left us feeling fully prepared for the trip. When the day came, all we needed were the proper clothes and shoes, and ECA took care of the rest. First, when we were customizing our trip, Ryan let us know about the Borrego Springs sculpture gardens and we were able to start there. Absolutely wild to see these metallic monsters in the middle of the desert. We left Borrego Springs in the late morning and headed for an afternoon in Joshua Tree. Even across half a day, we explored the giant boulders, hiked among some incredibly unique plant life, saw the Joshua Trees and baby cactus garden, and took in a sunset at a desert oasis that you couldnā€™t imagine even existed. Itā€™s amazing that the California desert could be so diverse, and that we could see so much of it in such a short time. While the day itself was amazing, what really sets Elite Custom Adventures apart is the photography. In less than a week we received over 50 digital photos from our experience, many using unique photography techniques, and these simply couldnā€™t be duplicated on an iPhone. We are so happy that weā€™ll have these memories forever, not just in our mind, but on our computer backgrounds, hanging on our walls throughout the house and on holiday cards to come!
