Excellent adventure. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We got within 20 feet of 3 bears at one point. Well worth the experience!

The float plane to and from Windfall Island was great. We had the opportunity to see bears from the plane. The kayaking was rather short; about 20 minutes. I would have preferred a longer trip. Unfortunately we went on a hot, sunny day and did not see any bears at pack creek. This was on July 13th and the salmon were not running either. We kayaked to the viewing area then sat and waited for 2 hours without seeing anything. Even though we didn't see any bears, the scenery was great and the guides was awesome. I recommend this trip for the plane ride and kayaking. With any animal viewing tour, I never expect to see wildlife because they are after all wild animals and unpredictable.

Thank you for your review!! You are absolutely right, you can't expect or be guaranteed bear sighting in the wild. It is always a roll of the dice, and the odds are good but not guaranteed. The biggest thing is the Pack Creek Bear Sanctuary is a stunningly beautiful ecosystem featuring all sorts of animals interacting with their environment, many of whom are bears. For a combo of flight seeing, wildlife viewing, and kayaking, this tour is fantastic! We are very grateful you decided to join us and thank you again for sharing your experience!

Booked this for husband and son and it was the most amazing trip they have ever been on. They absolutely recommend it and their guide was very good. I have seen footage and pictures from their trip and it was mind blowing. It is expensive but worth every penny.
