The charter company ā€œforgotā€ our reservation, although it was confirmed that morning, and we were stranded in Juneau. The charter company Chum Fun offered no alternatives and was very rude. Luckily, we stumbled upon Alaska anglers and they saved the day with an Amazing excursion. Viator should be more aware of the charter companies they work with because it does reflect on Viator and its reputation.

We did the salmon shore fishing excursion in Juneau this past week. I called to confirm pick up location 2 days prior. Despite this, Operator was not at the correct spot to pick us up.. when I called she said ā€œsorry my best friend is visiting from out of townā€. Really unprofessional. Also our licenses were supposed to be printed out and rain coats provided. The guides forgot both the licenses and the coats and had to go back and get them at their head quarters. We were taken fishing on the dock near the salmon hatching farm. We caught no fish. In my opinion this was a very lazy spot… no effort was made to move spots when weren’t catching any fish. Guide used a different fishing lure to fish and he caught a fish…. I thought this was a VERY expensive tour for what it was…..after paying nearly $280 a person for this, there were signs in the van asking for $40 tip per person… Guides were very friendly. But this was poorly organized. Would not do again.
