What To Expect

Iao Valley

Come explore the highlights and secrets of West Maui! This experience starts with driving through the historical plantation town of Wailuku and visiting an ancient volcano that possess a spectacular rainforest valley known as Iao Valley, and is home to the famous Iao needle. Due to many years of erosion and rainfall, Iao valley has become a stunning lush green valley with a river running through its valley floor all while hosting many different species of flora and fauna. While enjoying the botanical garden you will learn about the history of this grand valley and the Hawaiians that first settled here along with one of the bitterest battles ever fought on Hawaiian soil.

Maui Tropical Plantation

Next is the Maui Tropical Plantation. Easy walking paths lead through tropical plants and enjoy the artfully displayed antique equipment from the old sugar milling days. The local gift shop has island made vodka, coconut candy and many other fun items! Tram Ride is not part of the tour.

The King Kamehameha Golf Club

We then climb up a west Maui slope to enjoy stunning views of the central valley from this King Kamehameha look out. Hear the story of how these grounds hold a historical structured connected to the famous Frank Lloyd Wright and Marilyn Monroe.

Makena Beach

Now it’s time to cruise the south shore to show you beautiful Maui beaches and moon scape lava fields from Maui’s 1790 volcanic eruption from Haleakala

Ho'okipa Beach Park

On our pleasant drive back to North shore our final stop will be the sea cliff look out over the beautiful Ho‘okipa Beach. Enjoy views of the ocean, waves and surfers. Frequently Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are sunbathing right on the beach! A short walk can bring you down to the water to get even closer to the local wildlife. Relax and enjoy the spectacular views on your drive back to the port.

Very nice tour. We were able to adjust the schedule as we didn’t want to spend hours or a long time in the same spot. Since this was a private tour we were able to do so. We had a delicious lunch at Mam’s fish house which is a must go to if you can get in as usually there is a 6 month wait list for reservations. We went to a beach where a lot of surfers are which is a joy to watch and huge turtles are sunbathing. We saw the rain forest and where the desert lines up next to the rain forest. Cute little town with nice shopping.

Great trip. iNick brought us to see about 60% of the island at our own pace. Very professional and informative tour. Our three kids ages 10, 10, and 11 enjoyed the jungle, farmers market and cowboy town. All had animals to feed, which they love them most.

Nick was a wonderful private tour guide, very knowledgeable and flexible in creating a custom tour for us. The rainforest was so lush and beautiful ! We visited Rice Park with an elevation of 2800 ft so the views are great and it was very peaceful. We had a short visit in Historic Makawao Town with it's rustic boutique shops to include "The Maui Cookie Lady" and lastly we finished our tour off with another locals favorite Maui shave Ice ! Thank you for a great day ! On a Sad note. .This was the day before the tragic West Maui Wildfires and our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Maui and we will donate to the Maui Strong Fund.
