Kaimana Kealakekua Bay (Capt. Cook) Adventure

Overview

Join us for a beautiful ocean tour traveling the Kona coastline to Kealakekua Bay where you will experience a world-renowned reef snorkeling site. This area has plentiful reef fish life and our guides will teach you about the fragile reef ecosystem. This tour is great for those who do not want an entire day on the water but still want to experience the beauty of Kona’s amazing blue waters and colorful reef.

We welcome beginners and children on this beautiful coastal adventure but ask that anyone attending to know how to swim and still meet the safety criteria. Light snacks and drinks will be provided and you’re welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy while viewing the massive cliff face and views in the area. Kids under 12 are required by the Coast Guard to wear a life vest when onboard at all times. Reef safe (zinc only) sunscreen is REQUIRED BY LAW on this tour. You are welcome to use ours.

Being on a small vessel allows for a more personal experience with our crew and more time in the water than the typical “tourist trap” large vessel.

This tour is a must-do! The view of the island is breathtaking from the water and the wildlife we encountered made it all the more worth it. We saw spinner dolphins first thing out of the harbor and manta rays later on. Cam and Kay are super knowledgeable about all things ocean and are clearly so passionate about what they do. The fact that the tour groups are limited to a small group makes it all feel very personalized. Do yourself a favor and go experience this for yourself!

Amazing tour! Saw dolphins on the way down and some hammerheads! The snorkeling was amazing and the crew was very informative about the history of the area and the wildlife. Captain Brenna was really fun to talk to and helped give us plenty of recommendations for the rest of our trip! Definitely will go on this trip next time we come out here!

Had an awesome time with Kaimana Ocean Safari. The boat and crew are fantastic and what better way to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian waters then to go out and try to find some of its cool inhabitants. We saw Dolphins from the boat right out of the harbor to start our day, followed by Mantas rays and beautiful tropical fish. We will definitely do this again and highly recommend this to anyone who loves the ocean!
