Fantastic I do not know what the h*** the previous reviewer is talking about this being phony. It’s a GPS driven app with stops, history, sights, restaurants food trucks turn by turn and is excellent. We used it on three islands. This is the best of the digital world and internet. I wish I knew of other stuff like this in other countries. Btw be forewarned. The traffic on Kauai esp north of and around Lihue is atrocious. The worst I’ve ever seen ANYWHERE. so bad that if we knew about it we’d have skipped Kauai. Nothing to do with Shaka guides.

We never were able to use this app. After following all directions, the app insisted that I had no booking (both TripAdvisor and Amex agreed I had). So I tried a chat on their website. No luck. It was 5:45 and they close at 5PM. Called and left a message. No reply. Called three more times and emailed. 24 hours later, no reply. We’re not sure this company really exists. It may be a scam with a bunch of cheerful messages about getting right back to you.

Sorry for any confusion. As we've discussed over the phone, you have to download your purchased tours using the specifically assigned download link on your booking confirmation. Downloading the app directly from the App Store will not work as it will not register the purchase you made with TripAdvisor. The Restore Purchases option works only if you purchased tours from the app directly. Email us at [email protected] again if you'd like to continue this discussion further.

Bought this app, and it’s such great value. We enjoyed the trips especially when it took us off the beaten track. Spend the £20/$20, it’s money well spent.
