This was so fun!! Super chill and you can personalize it by skipping things or spending extra time at a stop. I’ve been to Kauai 3 times but this app showed me places I’ve never seen or heard of!! BEAUTIFUL little hidden gems. He also has some fun stories to tell and you can feel his personality come through. I definitely recommend!!!!

Probably the first time I’ve written a review for anything. My wife and I were on vacation in Kauai and Maui and we had a convertible on both islands. We were planning on doing driving tours on our own and getting advice from locals and google maps. The second day of our vacation, I received an email from TripAdvisor about a driving tour app. I was skeptical at first and figured “how good can this app really be”?? I’ll keep it as short as possible. This app was above and beyond what I expected. Turn by turn directions to places you would never find on your own, funny and knowledgeable narration, and excellent historical information about the places you visit. And you can work at your pace and go as fast or slow as you want. Also, I had a slight issue with the app the first time I downloaded it, but I called customer service and Leo got it up and running immediately. Great job Shaka Guide!!! You made our vacation one to remember forever. Mahalo (thx in Hawaiian)

Each leg of the Shaka guided tour provided tons of information about the history, culture, and geography of this beautiful island. Some the side trips and hikes are "can't miss" parts of the tour. Although the app generally states 3-6 hours for each tour, plan a full day to totally immerse yourself into Kauai. Our condo was near Lihue providing a perfect starting point for each of the tours. This is one of the most user friendly apps I've recently used. Simply put,,,invest in this app and enjoy the island of Kauai like you never imagined.
