Loved this app. We used it in Maui and then we ended up buying it for Kauai. I did months of research on where to go and this guide covered most of not all the places I looked up.

I bought this on our second day in Kauai, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it on our first day! Shake Guide made our experience in Hawaii a rich one with so many beautiful, interesting, unique, and iconic sights and excursions. We learned a great deal about the modern and historical Hawaii, visited little known spots and hot tourist areas, and ate delicious meals and snacks thanks to Shaka Guide’s suggestions. All three of our children (ages 15, 11, and 9) enjoyed the guide and asked us to turn it on every time we were in the vehicle, even if we weren’t following the tour route. The music between points and stories was an unexpected bonus. The narrator’s Hawaiian humor was entertaining but didn’t steal the show from Kauai itself. Get the app. It’s more than worth it!!!

I usually do the trip planning and navigation. With this app, I was able to let someone else do the guiding. We used 2 of the 4 apps on our "Days Off" when I didn't have anything else planned. We didn't do everything on the tour and when we skipped something, it just started off at the next part of the tour. My husband isn't a big hiker so we did a couple smaller hikes and I really appreciated the way Shaka let us know if the hikes were difficult or if they had a shorter loop. My husband said he learned a lot on the tours. At first we thought it was a bit dorky but then you grow to really like this guy. The music wasn't our type but we also did get used to that and enjoyed it. We are excited to use the other 2 Kauai tours next year and then possible go to another island to enjoy more.
