Overview

I am a Hawaii artist with many years of experience as a painter and teacher. My artwork hangs in homes and offices throughout the state and across the mainland and Europe. I'm from Hawaii, growing up in Waikiki and moving to Kauai in 1974. My knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and the island of Kauai has a deep influence of how I paint and teach. I want to share my love of our local scenery, wildlife, people and plants, which are a never-ending source of inspiration. I'd be honored to share my art experience with you and help you on your creative journey. E komo mai! Welcome!

We really enjoyed Penny's art class. This was the best activity before we had to catch our flight. The art studio is located close to the airport not even 5 min drive away. We were able to take our lovely artwork home with us after we were done. Penny made us beginners feel so comfortable painting that we really wish we could do it again. We were able to take a break and ate lunch at SEA restaurant and did a little shopping at Sensational Sea Adventures where I found the perfect bathing suit for our next Kauai vacation.

We were looking for something to do between hotel check out and going to the airport for a late flight. This was the perfect experience! Airport stop or not, it was a lot of fun. We had enough time to each paint two water color paintings. The instructor Penny is kind, welcoming and accommodating to beginner painters… like us. We highly recommend this experience!
