We did the snorkel tour and by the end of the week, had a similar experience to compare to this one. Overall I wish we had only done the Napali coast one for many reasons; the boat captain on this tour seemed to be more of a cowboy with the boat, we did not feel prepared for how it was going to feel to the littlers of our group to be seated on the middle seats with nothing to hold on to, the snorkeling on this tour was NOTHING compared to what we experienced on the Napali coast tour, and our guides were less than sympathetic to my ten year old niece when she had a panic attack from the boat ride. I’m sure they get all kinds of people who are ill prepared, but they could’ve been a lot gentler and more understanding. She was told “if you’re going to freak out, don’t even try. Stay in the boat.” Since she was wearing a buoyant wet suit and a life jacket (that we brought, one was not offered on this boat), and both guides had boogie boards for just that purpose, this seemed harsh and extreme. Again, we had a very different experience on a similar boat going to the Napali Coast and my niece had a blast. I can’t say I recommend this tour.

LOTS of splashing water on the port side of the boat (left). TAKE motion sickness pills. Another group got sick so they had to be dropped off halfway in. Ended up having a private tour which is nice. Pros: You get to see turtles real close and swim with them to some extent. Lots of fishes will swim around you. Guides are friendly and knowledgeable. First-time snorkeler friendly. Cons: We got two sites to snorkel in and the second site (shallower reef) had much more to see and was beautiful but we got less time than the first site. Wish we spent more time at the shallower reef longer. Corals weren't as colorful as expected; bleached by global warming?

Well organized - excellent communications throughout the process. Liam and Kimo were great - very hospitable and fun in a genuine way. The zodiac ride was great - fast, but at no time did I feel like Kimo was being reckless. Passenger safety and comfort were always a top concern. They provided snack that saved me and a few others from getting sick from the mouthfuls of ocean water. The views were breathtaking. Hundreds of fish and a dozen or more turtles. Well worth the money :)
