Overview
[FOR UP TO 6 PASSENGERS, private tour]
This tour starts by heading directly to the Waimea Canyon on the west side. On the way there, we will stop to stretch our legs and take a look at the Hanapepe Valley overlook. At Waimea town, we will begin our ascent into the canyon. We will stop at about 1800 feet for our first view, stop at a miniature waterfall for pictures, take a short walk on a nature trail with native Hawaiian plants where you can stand at the very edge of the canyon, and then on to the main canyon viewing area. From there we will head to the top stopping to see the Waipo'o Falls on the way. At the very top we will view two different vantage points of the Kalalau Valley from 4700 feet down to the ocean. On the way back down, listen to a historical tale about the Kalalau Valley. Lunch. Then to the south side for Spouting Horn, Poipu Beach (monk seals) and a walk to see the Makauwahi Sinkhole Cave in Mahaulepu State Park.

The rating doesn't lie, if a tour operator gets all fives, there is a reason for it and with Noah, there are lots of reasons. We booked this tour and shared it with 2 other couples on a cruise ship. When you split the cost the tour was less than the ship tour and we got to see so much more. I lost count of the different viewing spots of Waimea canyon that we stopped at, but I can assure you that most of them were not spots a large tour buses would be able to get to. Noah also showed us the south side of Kauai, making several other scenic stops, a stop at the beach to see the monk seals, and a nice stop for lunch. He then drove us to our choice - back to the ship, or town for shopping. One of the highlights was a small hike through a botanical garden as he played the ukulele along the way. The day was just magical and it was a pleasure to meet him. A couple of notes about the tour: - The van is a regular mini van and he will take up to 6 passengers for the same price, but would have been more comfortable with 4. He did do all the shifting of seats, etc, but a couple of people had to climb in the back. - Lunch is not included in the tour price, but he lets the majority decide and the place he suggested was terrific. - Book early, he is quite popular and getting more so all the time. - Even though there is a beach stop, it is not for swimming, so no swimming gear needed. - For those prone to motion sickness, the road to the canyon is steep and you should take medication before if needed. To summarize, you will see much more for less by taking this tour rather than a big bus tour and you will get to meet a talented, nice man who tells great stories about the people and history of Kauai.

We had an amazing time on this tour! We wonā€™t have found half of the places Noah took us to. The Waimea Canyon is breathtaking! The south side of the island has gorgeous beaches and some hidden gems too! Thank you Noah for being an amazing tour guide!

We had the best time with Noah. He was able to take us places that the big tour busses just can't get too. Plus since it is a private tour you get more time to see things as opposed to waiting on whole bunch of other folks. He is so knowledgeable of the history, land, plants, and wild life. He is so personable as well and my family loved him. Besides the canyon he took us to a beach where we got to see a monk seal, a fish pond, a coffee plantation, and other sites on the island. It is an experience we will never forget. Waimea Canyon has to be the most beautiful place on Earth. Thank you Noah!!
