This 45-55 min flight covers all of the highlights the island of Kauai has to offer! There is free round trip transportation from your cruise ship docked at Nawiliwili Harbor to the Lihue airport a few minutes away. Some of the most spectacular sights include: Jurassic Park Falls , Waimea Canyon, also know as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" where several waterfalls cascade down steep cliffs, Jagged cliffs of Na Pali coast, Hanalei Valley of waterfalls, National Tropical Botanical Garden Bali Hai and much more! There is a maximum of 6 passengers per helicopter.

At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time.
We ask all guests to please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 1 hr prior to flight time on your booking voucher.
Weight Limit: 240 lbs Passengers over 240 lbs would need to purchase a comfort seat, which is the cost of another seat.
Infant age: In order for a child to sit on a parents lap the infant must not be older than 23 months. By 24 months and older the child is required to sit in their own seat per FAA regulations. This seat must be purchased.

What To Expect

Hanalei Valley Lookout

Hanalei Bay is the largest bay on the north shore of Kauaʻi island. It has nearly two miles of beach, surrounded by mountains. The wetlands of Hanalei Bay were used to grow taro by ancient Hawaiians.

Na Pali Coast State Park

Although inaccessible to vehicles, this coast can be enjoyed by air. Stunning jagged knife edges from years of erosion and its vibrant colors of plant growth covering it.

Manawaiopuna Falls (Jurassic Park Falls)

Manawaiopuna Falls, known as Jurassic Falls is a privately owned waterfall and was featured in the background of several scenes in the 1993 Steven Spielberg film Jurassic Park.

Waimea Canyon State Park

Kauai's Waimea Canyon is also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. This magnificent large canyon is approximately ten miles long and 3,000 feet deep with absolutely stunning views.

Steve, our black hawk retired military pilot, gave the best helicopter tour I could ever imagine. It was my first helicopter ride and he made me feel so relaxed the entire time and the views were incredible. This was the highlight of my Hawaiian trip! Thank you, Steve. Bonnie

We were picked up on time at 7:00 am at our Cruise Ship and driven to the Sunshine Helicopter Tour Office. There, we were checked in, given a safety briefing and driven to the Airport. There were 6 of us plus the pilot in the helicopter. We were each given noise-canceling headphones to listen to the pilot's narrative and there were 2 microphones to pick up and ask the pilot questions. The helicopter was very well maintained and looked brand new. The ride was super comfortable and quiet. The pilot was a real expert in smooth maneuvering of the craft with no sudden dips or direction changes. This was a sightseeing ride, not a thrill ride. What we saw was absolutely beautiful. The early morning sunshine made the scenery really pop. We started along the coast and then went inland to view several beautiful canyons and waterfalls. The pilot's live narrative was informative and fun. He really knew his island. We saw so much that the time just flew by (no pun intended) and before we knew it, we had completely circled the island and were landing back at the airport. The office location made it convenient for us to spend the rest of the morning at a beautiful nearby beach. Bottom Line: Great tour, knowledgeable, personable pilot, highly recommended.

This helicopter tour was recommended by our cruise line. It was an excellent suggestion. I have never been in one before and was a little nervous. My day had not been going well at all. I had a couple nosebleeds prior to the flight and the folks working there were wonderful. Let me sit and calm down, gave me Kleenex, water, etc. without any pressure. Preflight Safety information was ample. Getting on the helicopter was easy and pictures were taken along with a video of our flight. Liftoff and return were easy with our super trained pilot. Not only was our pilot skilled at flight, he was knowledgeable about the area and narrated what we were seeing. It was beautiful, informative, fun, exciting, and educational. I LOVED it. Thank you for an amazing tour!
