The canoe rental is outstanding, but the glamping is really really full of mosquitoes. I counted 73 bumps just on two arms and could count the rest of my body, even after several days of not being there I still had welts. The tents are set up really well. Bring lots of repellent or bug foggers. The outhouse was nice and clean but should be moved to more private place. There is one and is right between campers and river so everyone watches you when you go in and come out. The owners are really nice and made you feel comfortable at their site and will help you in anyway.

I hope you will give us chance to make it up to you.Sorry about the mosquito's, but you should have pointed it out to us we have a remedy and could have taken care of that issue for you. To date you are the first one to lodge a complaint. Also if your stay is timed with the date of this posting you were there immediately after a flood which does increase the population. I assume you were since that was the first time we experienced a problem and we treat the area throughly. As for the Port a John it is centrally located so all guests can access it with ease.

Super, super friendly people! What a great concept... You meet at the launch spot on the river, they supply the kayaks and take your vehicle to where you land the kayaks. We saw tons of turtles as well as squirrels, hawks, fish, and mussels. We even had a bald eagle fly right in front of us!! *I recommend reading the directions in the email you receive. LOL. We didn't! We just googled their address. DON'T BE LIKE US! You actually meet up on the river...duh, IKR?! Thank God they were super kind and waited for us. šŸ§”

Spent the afternoon kayaking down the river with my two teenage boys. Great outdoor activity in the time of Covid. We only saw one other person the whole time, but lots of birds and turtles. WaterTrail was the perfect outfit. We used their kayaks, and they took us back to our car at the end. Super easy, and very friendly. I highly recommend them.
