Overview

Experience the size and relevance of the Hoover Dam and Colorado river with the oldest and most experienced tour company on the river. This trip includes a catered lunch and will launch at the base of the Hoover Dam and continues 12 miles down stream, stopping to bathe in hot springs and hike up slot canyons. This is a must do for adventurous groups or anyone looking to get outdoors.

Top 10 things about our adventure: #10: Chanjira the guide. She shared the perfect amount of information without talking our ears off. #9: The kayaks didn’t feel tippy and the life jackets were nice. #8: Chanjira the guide. She was patient when I was slow. #7: The longer trip - we originally booked the shorter excursion and Marnie convinced us to upgrade. So glad we woke up earlier because it was an awesome experience. #6: Chanjira the guide. She offered snacks and water at just the right time. Lunch was good, too. #5: Seeing the Hoover dam from water level was amazing. #4: Chanjira the guide: Clearly know the River well and was able to answer all our silly questions. The hot springs were fabulous. #3: The fun couple we paddled with - they even gave us a ride back to our hotel so we didn’t have to ride the shuttle. #2: Chanjira the guide … and the other employees were also nice. #1: Chanjira the guide!!! I’m not related to her but I’m a big fan. As long as the temperature is above 68 degrees and you don’t mind cold feet, I highly recommend the long tour. Bummers: the dry well of the kayak wasn’t really dry and my pedicure was ruined. But still a wonderful experience.

Dream Trip come true. All the elements were there - Super great guide, Katelyn, really friendly and fun other tour group participants, Interesting history of the Hoover Dam, awesome route starting right at the dam, lunch and snacks were good, the hot springs were amazing, and even the weather cooperated! It could not have been more perfect. Katelyn got to show off her professional skills when a few of us tipped into the water. Even the accidental soaking was fun. This is a must do tour and one I want to repeat.

We had such a great time with our knowledgeable guide Ryan!! Absolutely gorgeous day albeit a little chilly at first. We wore layers as recommended and did great. There were a few stops for short walks to hot springs and another historic site. Highly recommend and ask for Ryan!! 🤓
