For some reason I thought I saw on here that you would have a guide or instructor. But I does say self navigated. I was going off of the information on their site. However, it was a good experience for a first timer. It was a workout and with the boats coming in and out you really have to get the hang of it or you might get hit.

We have 3 routes and 1 does have a little more trffic and especially on weekends. Try a weekday and go the opposite direction next time. Much calmer and no boat traffic. We do offer Guided Tours that include pics and we enhance your skills.

This is our second time renting from Sunrise. Besides the route being beautiful and very relaxing, everyone is so nice and helpful. If you have never been Kayaking before or a seasoned pro these guys help with everything.

Friendly staff. They got me all set up and helped me get in and comfy. Gave me directional tips. Sent me on my way. I was able to do a little kayak fishing and exploring. Comfortable kayaks for being in them for a few hours. Prices were far as well. I enjoyed myself. Will head back next time I want to go out. Even saved this little guy stuck out in the middle floating.
