Awesome tour, friendly staff at the store, very accommodating, awesome reception and warm welcome at the beach! Tour guides were top notch, very knowledgeable and very fit! Overall a great experience.

So I should have stayed home! First, the guides were super great but I have to admit I am too old for this stuff now (40). Pretty sure I paddled 2+ miles, was flipped twice by waves and hurt my foot, and got sea sick from swells….only to see a few sea lions I could have seen from shore and spend 45 seconds in the cave….that I also could have gotten down to from shore. If you do it, get the double kayak. The singles flip much easier. Pretty experience but 10/10 wouldn’t do again.

Hey WacoPam, First off, we hope your foot is feeling better. Also, we appreciate the feedback from your experience. This kayak tour is set up for families and beginners, but everyone should keep in mind that paddling does require some modest exercise. We are glad you got to experience the beauty of La Jolla, and even got to see some local sea lions from the ocean perspective. Have a great rest of the summer, and be safe out there!

I took my daughter here as a birthday present, since kayaking was on her list. The guides, Julie and Nora(or Laura?) were great. They thoroughly explained everything as we went along. We were unable to go to the caves due to strong waves, but it was enjoyable nevertheless. I suggest taking dramamine or another remedy for motion sickness. It was choppy when we went and the waves got the best of me as we were heading back. But, overall, it was a great adventure my daughter got to check off her list!
